Places in Tribeworld

City

The City is where the majority of the show was set. It was home to many different tribes and locations. When the virus first hit the City was split into "sectors" to help ease the evacuation of children to places outside the city. Due to the fact that they are still in the City we can assume that the evacuation was never completed successfully before all the adults died.

Where is the city?

The City was a generic term and it was, purposefully, never given a name. The reasoning behind this was to illustrate that this could happen in any city anywhere in the World. The City was pretty typical to your average town or City with large office blocks in the town centre, shopping malls, casinos, hospitals, residential areas, industrial areas and green areas.




Real World location

The actual filming location for The Tribe was in and around the city of Wellington in New Zealand as this is where Cloud 9 is based.

Sectors (1-15)

The City was split into sectors, below is a brief description of what can be found in each sector (if it was ever mentioned on the show), which Tribe lives there and any other significant information about that sector.

• Sector 2 - The Demon Dog Casino is located in Sector 2
  
  Sector 8 - Where Patch's Tribe, 'The Wrecking Crew' were based before he joined the Mallrats. It is doubtful the five man Tribe ran the entire sector.
  
  
• Sector 9 - The Docks overlap between Sector Nine and Sector Ten. Sector Nine was Loco Territory (before they disbanded), which is where the Train Yard was located, as well as the Horton Bailey Hotel (renamed Ebonys Palace). The Stadium where the Technos initially set up base was also located in Sector Nine.
  
  
• Sector 10 - The Mall Rats base, The Phoenix Hotel is located in Sector Ten, as are the Docks and Tunnel Hill. The Technos also had an operations centre located near Tunnel Hill.
  
  
• Sector 12 - Part of the Demon Dogs territory, The Park could also be found in Secotr Eleven.
  Before the virus this was where, Lex, Glen, Zandra and Ryan lived.

Who Controls The City?

During the five series of the show the City was under the control of various different tribes or people.

• Sesaon 1 : The first series had no real ultimate power in the City, there was the Locos, Demon Dogs, Tribe Circus and the Mallrats all as prominent Tribes.
  
• Season 2 : The second series was definitely the season in which the Mall Rats gained control as they had the power of knowing the formula to the antidote. At the end of Series 2 there was a big fight on the beach which was the cliffhanger that lead to...
  
• Season 3 : The third season started with the Chosen in power and putting the rest of the Tribes to work. Later in the series control of the City was taken over by Ebony and Bray & Amber were banished.
  
• Season 4 & 5 : Season four saw the start of what would be The Techno's, in one form or another, having control of the city.

The Mall



The Phoenix Mall was first seen in the first episode. 'Owned' by Jack, it offered a safe place to stay away from the feuding Tribes out in the city for the various few people who ended up there in search of sanctuary. This core group of people would eventually become the Mallrats.
The mall continued to be the safe haven and home of the Mallrats throughout the five seasons of the show, however this didn't stop anyone form invading their privacy and it was taken over by rival tribes.
Firstly, by Top Hat who invaded, with his Tribe Circus and took over, using the women of the Tribe as slaves.
Later in season three, it would become the base of operations for The Chosen, although a handful of the Mallrats remained and eventually they were able to defeat the Guardian and take back their home.
The various shops of the mall made up rooms for the many Mallrats, be it the original Mallrat pack or the various others who joined them over the five year seasons.
Jack made his room in the computer shop, making it both his place to sleep as well as to work on his various inventions. This was located on the lower level of the mall.
The bed shop was where most of the others stayed, until they moved in separate more private locations throughout the mall. In it slept the likes of Cloe, Patsy, Paul, Dal, Amber and Salene. The bed shop was located on the upper level.
Zandra, true to her nature, moved into the lingerie store which was located on the upper level.
Bray made the haberdashery his place to stay, and slept on a hammock rather than a bed, also upper level.
Lex and Ryan took up what seemed to be the tie shop on the lower floor. This helped when it came to keeping the Mall secure.
When Alice and Ellie moved into the Mall, they moved into the Delicatessen on the lower level.
When Sasha arrived for a few days, he made himself at home in the music shop.
Tai-San moved into what seemed to be a spa/aromotherapyesque shop, on the upper level away from the main part of the mall. A lab was set up next door when she started work on the antidote.
As well as individual rooms, their was a communal kitchen and cafe. The cafe was generally used for meetings as well as a place to eat. The cafe was located on the upper level, at the top of the stairs.
On the lower level was a fountain. The open space around the fountain, was tended to be used for parties the Mallrats would throw (for birthdays and celebrations). The main entrance was found here also, Jack had been able to set up a cranking system in order to lift and lower the grille to make the mall more secure.
A sewage entrance was also on the lower floor. It had to be guarded for anyone trying to invade, but also proved an easy escape route. Jack and Dal were able to set up an alarm system in the sewers in case of attacks from Tribes.
In season two, the Mallrats opened the Mall up for a market to be integrated, a test trial as they worked to try and get the tribes to work with each other rather than feud constantly. It was partly successful, but after season two didn't continue inside the mall although traders were constantly seen in the city.
In season five, the cafe was moved downstairs nearer the exits to help with quick getaways.

Horton Bailey Hotel - The Home of The Locos, The Chosen, Ebony & The Technos throughout the series.

• The Horton Bailey Hotel, renamed Ebony's Palace, was first used as Ebony's base of operations after Zoot went missing and she took over as 'Queen' of the Locos. Here she kept both Bray and Lex prisoner.
  In season two, after an unsteady alliance between herself and the Mallrats, Ebony moved into the Mall for a while, until once more taking over the hotel. The Locos by this time had disbanded, but a loyal few stayed with her to become a new security force whose base of operations was the Hotel.
  When the Chosen attacked at the end of season two, they invaded the Hotel after they'd taken most of the tribe leaders as prisoners. However they didn't make their base there, but moved into The Mall in season three.
  In season Four, when The Technos invaded the city, they took over the Hotel, renaming it 'Ram's Palace'. They quickly changed the look of the place, with their many computers, using the camera system to their advantage. Even after Ram was defeated, it remained in the Technos control as Mega slowly manipulated his way into the new power, and using it as a base of operations for taking over the city.

Train Yard - Another home of the Locos.

• The Train yard was used as part of Locos territory. We first see it, as Lex, Glen, Zandra and Ryan await the arrival of Zoot.
  It's also the place where Salene and Ryan hide out whilst being chased by Rowanne and her cronies. It seems to be located near the docks, which is where Rowanne was based.
  After season one the Train yard was rarely seen.

Eagle Mountain - Where the observatory was located. Also where Zandra lost her life.

• At the end of Season One, as the Mallrats search for answers about the virus, their search leads them to believe information can be found at Eagle mountain, located about 30 miles from the city. They abandon their home to go to the mountain.
  Arriving at Eagle mountain they find an observatory which tracks a satellite.
  At Eagle Mountain, some of the Mallrats want to disband, Lex and Zandra plan on going over the mountains to see what is there, Jack and Tai-San plan on staying at the Observatory and Bray tries to slip away unnoticed. It is on Eagle Mountain that Amber and Bray finally realise how they feel about each other (with the help of Lex).
  At the beginning of Season Two, an explosion occurs at the Observatory and the Tribe barely escape with their lives, two don't and the Tribe lay to rest Zandra and Amber on the side of the mountain.
  In season three it is discovered by Lex, Bray and Dal that Amber may still be alive and the burial was all a trick. Dal returns to Eagle mountain to find out the truth about his friend, followed by Bray and Lex.
  Amber it seems, was tricked by Ebony into pretending to be dead, and was found with concussion by Pride on Eagle mountain and he brought her to the Eco's.
  When Dal dies in season three, he is buried up on Eagle Mountain.
  In season five, although they don't return to Eagle Mountain, Trudy and Amber both look upon it from a distance as Amber recalls memories of herself and Bray.

Hope Island - Where the Mallrats searched for information on the Virus

• In Season One, as The Mallrats search for information on the virus, clues lead them to a government building located on Hope Island.
  Bray, Lex, Amber and Dal, along with Bob (the dog) leave the Mall in search of answers.
  Once on Hope Island they find the building, but it is surrounded by mines. Slowly making their way through the minefield, they are able to infiltrate the building, finding skeletons of the adults who must have died there.
  Unfortunately in their quest for answers, they set off an alarm system and have to quickly escape as a countdown ensues.
  They make it to mainland, only to turn and see the building blow up.
  Hope Island is named so because it once housed a prison.

The Beach - Primarily used for the Tribal Gathering

• The beach is used for some pivotal moments within the Tribeverse.
  Season One
  It is at the beach where Bray lays his brother, Zoot, to rest sending him off to sea with a warrior burial.
  The Mallrats learn that there is to be a Tribal Gathering on the beach involoving all the main and powerful Tribes of the city. Wanting to make their mark as a Tribe, they make the descion to go to the gathering, despite the danger. It is here they come face to face with some of the most dangerous of the Tribes, and where Lex's past catches up with him when he comes face to face with Glen. The Mallrats are able to save Dal and Sasha from Ebony's clutches and they escape quickly from the gathering.
  Sasha and Amber also spend a few private days at the beach together as their relationship evolves and Amber has to make some brave descision about her future with the Mallrats and Sasha.
  Amber, Dal, Bray, and Lex leave from the beach to get to Hope Island as they search for answers to the virus.
  Season Two
  At the end of season two, as the Chosen start their attack on the city, the Mallrats and other tribes try to retaliate and things come to a head at the bach as the Chosen surround and defeat their small numbers. It is here that Lex and Bray have an accident in a dune buggy and are left for dead.
  Season Three
  When Bray is recaptured by the Chosen, the Guardian sentences him to death. The execution site is set up near the beach, but he is thankfully saved by the rebels.
  Season Four
  Ved and Cloe take a ride in one of the Techno's vehicles on the beach.

The Farm - Home of the Farmgirls and later used by The Mallrats and The Chosen

• We first see the Farm in season one, when Lex, Dal, Jack and Bray goo looking to trade. It is here we're introduced to Alice and her tribe, 'The Farmgirls'.
  In season two, Alice and her sister, Ellie, join the Mallrats and Dal realises he can start his dream of owning a working farm. As season two progresses, we see Dal working on the Farm. We also see him come face to face with the Chosen here as they start their attack on the city. Alice also returns to the farm after she realises Lex isn't interested in her. An accident in the barn causes her to be trapped until Lex arrives to save the day.
  With the invasion and takeover by the Chosen in season three, the farm is also seized and used as a place to put workers to manual labor. Once the Chosen are overthrown, Alice and Ned plan on making the farm a home and try to get it up and running again. When Ned is murdered, Alice buries him by the farm.
  In season four, Lex takes Siva to the farm, now a dilapidated wreck, to stay. Siva however doesn't find the prospect of staying in the barn very appealing.

Ne znam jel to do mene, ali meni nije ništ posebno ovo na slikama, ima i puno ljepših stvari puno bliže.

Ja bi volio da provedem jedno 10 dana na plazi gdje hodaju kad pocinje serija.

Pa dobro sad, naravno da postoje i lepša mesta... Ali moraš se složiti da je lepo.
Ja živim u Vojvodini, a to je ravnica, tako da me brdoviti predeli nekako privlače i fasciniraju...
Volim planine, šume, reke, i vodopade...

Ma sve je to ok, lijepo je to, na kraju krajeva, o ukusima se ne raspravlja... Moja predodžba lijepog su onak neka više romantična mjesta tipa Havaji, Bahami ili Maldivi... Pješčane plaže, palme, neke lagune i još neka dobra cura kraj tebe i nema ništa bolje.
